BUDDHISM PLAYING CARDS
How do we use and view symbols?
In Buddhism, the swastika is a symbol of good fortune, peace, and universal harmony. The word comes from the Sanskrit svastika, meaning “conducive to well-being”. In some Buddhist traditions, the symbol represents the footsteps of Buddha and can be seen adorning Buddhist scriptures, personal clothing, and decorative pieces in temples and places of workship.
